Organization Introduction

The Miral Welfare Foundation, a social welfare corporation, was established in 1993 to achieve complete social integration by living together with marginalized neighbors. We strive to foster an inclusive society by promoting transparency, professional welfare services, and social integration with marginalized communities.

In 2015, it was granted ‘Special Consultative Status’ by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and its activities were recognized by the international community. Based on this, the Miral Welfare Foundation is striving to create a society where all members of society, domestically and internationally, can overcome physical, social, economic, and racial barriers and live happily through integration.

As of 2024, the Miral Welfare Foundation supports marginalized communities through rehabilitation programs for people with disabilities, special school operations, child sponsorship, and poverty alleviation projects in 13 locations across 11 countries.

Position Overview We are currently establishing our project operations in Vietnam. We are looking for a passionate and capable Project Manager to carry out the Community Development Program (CDP) and Disability-Inclusive Program (DIP) pursued by our organization. The Project Manager will be responsible for designing, managing, and expanding programs that support community development, including child sponsorship, family engagement, and disability inclusion.

Key Responsibilities and Main Duties

  1. Issuance of the Certificate of Registration of Operation
    • Based on Decree No. 58/2022/ND-CP.
    • Conduct administrative work required for obtaining the certificate for F-NGO project activities.
    • Handle government affairs (issuance and communication) required to promote project activities.
  2. Preparation for Opening a Project
    • Conduct administrative work required for obtaining approval of F-NGO project activities.
    • Contribute to overall program strategy and support proposal development and donor reporting.
  3. Setting up a Community Development Program
    • Identify target groups and explore community resources for child sponsorship.
    • Design project concept notes, timelines, and budgets.
    • Manage projects, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E).
  4. Stakeholder Networking
    • Internal: Miral HQ, project officers. (Korean or English)
    • External: Government officials, INGOs, communities, donors, partners, schools, health facilities.
  1. Translation
    • To communicate Miral HQ and potential donors, fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in Korean or English in need. (spoken and written).

  • Knowledgeable about social welfare and societal issues, and skilled in various tactics to address needs at individual, household, and community levels.
  • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining a clear strategic focus.
  • Comfortable navigating both grassroots and professional environments.
  • Knowledgeable about Vietnam’s INGO context and government regulations.
  • A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiastic about engaging directly with communities and field teams.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed to social welfare and grassroots development.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in child or PWD-focused programming.
  • Proven experience in project planning, management, and M&E.
  • Proven experience working with NGOs or government agencies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
  • Fluent in Vietnamese and proficient in Korean or English (spoken and written).

 

Compensation and Benefits

  • Monthly salary based on internal regulations and experience (Standard: 700 USD).
  • Work from home temporarily (remote work). (Expected workplace: My Dinh, Hanoi)
  • Standard working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with lunch and breaks (Flexible; working hours can be adjusted according to time zone differences).
  • Coverage of all work-related travel expenses.
  • Compulsory insurance and motorbike insurance after one year of employment.
  • National holidays off, plus 12 personal days in the first year and 20 days annually thereafter.
